Wizard....

Early CAS spelled trouble for the greenskins especially combined with a send off against a piled Chaos Warrior. Eventually over, Friends made the pass to put a receiver in the open only to be denied a score by the man in the pointy hat.

The second half was attrition, leaving the Mercenaries with just 4 on the pitch as they rolled upfield. Inability to farm a completion saw the touchdown delayed from Turn 4 to turn 6.

Still short handed the orcs fought on bravely, and did well to deny a second. A hard fought game, which was inevitably won by superior TV...

Well, the Sandgropers managed to get off to a good start, with Moody slaying a beastman and seriously injuring a second, allowing Hogan and Veletta to storm down the right-hand flank. They were checked, but the timely arrival of blitz-ra Lillee gave Veletta a chance to regain the ball, then shuffle in to open the scoring.

After that, it was chaos - literally as well as figuratively. There was a steady stream of casualties, with some players being injured multiple times, with only one seriously injured and missing the next match. The Sandgropers did manage to keep the lead until half-time, but with a steady procession of players heading off the pitch, they couldn't hold the lead for long, and chaos scored twice in the last four turns of the match to take the points, leaving behind a very battered and bruised khemri team.

The second of two matches played between myself and Tribal today, and again, another tough, but enjoyable encounter. As my Khemri were displaying their punching power in the first match, the usually hard-hitting OCF were going a bit soft on the humies in this one - they could knock 'em down, but their apothecary didn't have much to do.

The orcs failed critical rolls at crucial times, which cost them dearly, and had them two points down early in the second half. They did reduce the gap by one late in the match, and had an opportunity to get an equalizer on the last turn of the game, but Tobias Beecher's throw went off target, and the humies nearly managed to get a third off the bad pass, but the hand-off was fumbled in the end zone.

A game of 5's and 6's. That was what Vimes kept rolling for armour and injury. Elves were leaving the field in droves, fortunately for coach tribalsinner the 5/6's stopped for the khemri pickup rolls and the elves capitalised when the ball was on the ground.

Great, tough game.

Thoroughly enjoyable match. It was ridiculous the amount of 11's and 12's I was rolling for armor and/or injuries, but as Tribal said, I couldn't roll enough 5's or 6's when it came to picking up the ball. The Khemri scored the first and last TDs in the match, the second from a neat little pass play down the right flank, but the elves were just too good in the end and deserved the win.

The Swedish Designers and the Rock Rumblers took to the park in front of a crowd of 20,000 fans all screaming for blood. The Designers won the toss and elected to receive. After some very elvish passing Vyssa Slappna (catcher) crossed the line to give the Designers an early lead.

With the Rumblers receiving the ball it was time to get the smack on. Some average coaching left the Rumblers to spread out and the Designers capitalized by breaking the line and rushing the ball carrier. A spilt ball had the Rumblers scrambling back in defence. The Designers put Gouger (blitzer) and Midget (goblin) in the sheds for the rest of the game making life more difficult for the Rumblers. Eventually Pak (lineelf) crossed the line to put the Designers up 2-0. Before the half ended Krunch (black Orc) put Besta (lineelf) in the sheds.

The Rumblers had a chance to add points at the end of the half if only Fungi (troll) had been able to chuck Half-pint (goblin) into range. Fungi overcame his natural stupidity but then fumbled Half-pint with no gain. At least he didn't eat him.

The second half started better for the Rumblers. Learning from the mistakes of the first half the Rumblers consolidated around the ball. The crawl forward started and the casualties started to mount. Dombas and Billy (catchers) we're sent to the injury box by Mulch and Meat (line orcs) respectively. With the Designers down to four players the Rumblers were finally able to cross the line with Chum (lineorc) getting the points after a double go for it.

With three turns to go the Rumblers opted for a short kick in the hope of getting a turnover. The Designers were only able to get five players to the field so the odds looked to be in the Rumblers favor. Despite the numerical advantage the Designers agility was more than up to the test and a run down the sideline ended with Ektrop (catcher) crossing to make it 3-1.

Lining up for the last turn of the Rumblers game the only chance for a one turn score lay with Fungi and Half-pint. Gouger (blitzer) caught the ball and headed for Half-pint. Handing the ball to the little gobbo proved a bit to difficult however as Half-pint spilled the ball back into Gouger's hands. Perhaps the thought of being thrown down the field by Fungi, or being eaten by him, had proved to much for the little git. Needless to say the coach had words for him after the game. Part of the final turn smack down saw Thump (black Orc) smashing Lack's collar bone reducing his strength by one.

The whistle sounded and the teams headed to the sheds with the score at 3-1 in the Designers favour. The Designers took home 80k for their trouble while the Rumblers pocketed 50k. As the fans left the stands the general consensus was that the level of bloodshed had been sufficient.

After another bad the Women decided to actually do something First blood went to the Women taking out a Ghostkicka with a BH then Akali smashed Nuzrog so hard he was dead before he hit the pitch. This however did nothing to stop the Orcs from scoring, it did however reduce the number of orcs on the pitch. Halfway through second half Riven found the endzone to score for the Women.

Overall an interesting match.
